From the Minister's Desk: June, 2008

Albert Einstein said, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” We know that everything is a miracle since a miracle is God showing up in us, as us, and in all around us. And God always shows up - “I am with you always”.

It seems as if there is an “attitude” going round that is missing the point. Looking through the lens of fear, cynicism, doubt and negative habits of thought, some see only a world that needs to be feared, that is reflecting back a darkness in which nothing is a miracle, where the realm of possibilities is getting narrower instead of expanding. This is not the Truth, people. Looking through the lens of infinite possibilities, we can see God showing up all the time.

The challenges of our modern world are finally waking us up and growing us up into a “miracle” awareness of living more carefully with “mother earth” - care-fully - with more care, not more fear.

Awakening to a miracle consciousness for most people is a process that takes place as we become aware of the thoughts we habitually think, step back from them and realize “hey, that’s not me, that’s not true, that’s a lie”. In the space that opens in this emerging consciousness, we “realize” the Presence that is God showing up as us, in us and in all. Living from that space then becomes our primary purpose in life.

Things then get “curious-er and curious-er”. There was a movie called “Pleasantville” where the inhabitants lived in black and white. Things changed to color when a new consciousness came to town. I believe that a new consciousness is coming to town all over our globe and things look brighter in color, the color of miracles, the color of seeing God show up everywhere.

In the One Love We All Share,
